Because sometimes accidents happen…
I carefully package every sculpture in a specially built container to minimize any chances for damage during the shipping process, but every now and then accidents can happen. (So far in 16 years of online sales, I’ve only had one person report damage from shipping – but that’s one too many!)
Returns:
I do not accept returns on paper sculptures purchased from this site, unless they have been damaged during the shipping process. Each listing has a detailed description, including dimensions and each listing has photos of the sculpture, which is sold “as is”.
Refund Procedure:
If you package arrives damaged, please document the damage to the package (photos) before opening it. Once that is done (or If the package looks fine) , then open the package. If the contents of the package have managed to knock around and sustain damage, please document the damage immediately (photos) and contact me at matthew@papermatthew.com to arrange for a full refund.
I will not consider a refund if damage is documented/reported more than 3 days after the confirmed arrival (postal delivery confirmation, etc…), as I cannot be responsible for what happens after the package has been received.
Repairs:
Sometimes no matter how hard we try, accidents happen down the road and some damage may occur to your paper sculpture. If anything should happen to your sculpture for any reason, I MAY be able to repair it! I try my best to keep the drawings, sketches, plans for each paper sculpture filed away just in case anything happens I need to recreate a part for a sculpture.
Very minor damage may be able to be repaired for free (buyer covers shipping both ways). More severe damage will require enough work and materials to necessitate a repair fee.
Should anything happen, contact me at matthew@papermatthew.com with photos and description of the damage and I can evaluate the extent of the damage, check to see that I have the necessary materials/plans and then I can quote a repair fee based on the specifics involved.
